Earlier this year, in May, it was reported the couple had both hired divorce attorneys “months ago,” though little other details were available.
Speaking to GB News, Paul Burrell – who used to work as Princess Diana’s butler until her passing in 1997 – claimed that he can see Harry and Meghan’s divorce from a mile away. He expressed his belief that Harry has only stayed in the relationship for so long for the sake of their children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
“Am I the only person in the UK that is thinking, has Harry finally woken up to the truth? Has he finally seen the truth of what his wife is doing and that he’s been brainwashed and mesmerised by her beauty or something?” Burrell told the publication.
He added, “Because we all know that, but he doesn’t seem to see it.”
A divorce between Meghan and Harry could get complicated, given that it’s been reported the pair didn’t sign a prenup before their 2018 wedding. They currently have a net worth of $60 million, which has been bolstered in recent years thank to high-profile deals through their media company with Spotify and Netflix.
However, the couple’s finances have reportedly taken a dip, as Spotify axed their contract with Harry and Meghan earlier this year. It’s also been alleged that Netflix has threatened to make a similar call if the couple’s media company doesn’t produce more successful content.
